Maria is a Hudson Valley-based visual and narrative artist who approaches photography through the lens of storytelling. Her creative process often begins with a quiet mental image that evolves into a photoshoot. Other times, an antique cup or a simple flower catches her eye, evoking a memory and taking up residence in her studio. This story-driven approach allows her to examine the space between belonging and displacement, between reminiscing and loss.
